ABOUT THE COMPETITION
The Shield Arcing Showdown is an annual welding competition created by Ty Linker with the help of Arkansas Elite Welding Academy. It is built to showcase welding talent, promote the skilled trades, and create life-changing opportunities.
OUR MISSION
This competition is about more than laying down a good bead. The mission is to award a scholarship to someone 18 or older who wants to pursue a career in welding and give them the chance to build a better future through the skilled trades.
